The researchers performed a 15-hour craniotomy at North Bank University Hospital (NSUH) on March 9 this year, and the participants made a breakthrough four months later.

The operation builds an electronic bridge over the subject's brain to allow information to flow again between the paralyzed body and brain, allowing tetraplegic patients to regain body sensation and control the movement of the hands and legs.
