CTOnews.com few years ago, a company called Xebec launched a crowdfunding campaign to introduce a three-screen accessory that can add two 10.1-inch displays next to a laptop, turning any laptop into a mobile three-screen workstation.

Now Xebec has introduced a larger, more versatile multi-display system called Xebec Snap, which expands the display to 13.3 inches.

In addition, Xebec Snap's extended screens support both landscape and portrait rotation and are supported by brackets on the back of the notebook. The accessory is currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter with the goal of delivering it by November 2023.

As you can see from the official demo, the accessory needs to hang a snap bracket on the laptop screen first, and then insert the accessory's USB-C / USB-A display cable into the laptop's connector.

Finally, you need to extend a set of brackets from the side of the accessory and "snap" the monitor up to use it properly.

Each Xebec Snap monitor is 13.3 inches, 1920 x 1080 resolution, has a refresh rate of 60 Hz and supports brightness up to 400 nits. The monitor is aluminum, measures size 12.4 x 7.4 x 0.3 and weighs 1 pound (CTOnews.com notes: approximately 454 grams).

The snap bracket weighs 1.5 pounds (about 681 grams) and is officially suitable for most laptops with 13.3-inch to 17.3-inch displays.

In addition, the power consumption of each display is 16.5W, and hanging two is 33W. If it is plugged in, Xebec Snap's snap bracket is also equipped with a 60W USB-C power supply port, which can directly supply power to the notebook and two screens, provided that the load is not too high.

The early bird crowdfunding price for Xebec Snap's dual-screen system (with only one screen) is $399 (currently about 2869 yuan), and the early bird crowdfunding price for the three-screen system (with two screens) is $659 (currently about 4738 yuan).
