CTOnews.com August 3, Elon Musk tweeted today that he plans to negotiate with Apple CEO Tim Cook about reducing App Store commissions.

In a tweet about supporting creators, Musk hopes to get a 30% commission based on X's revenue through communication with Cook, rather than 30% based on the creator's remuneration.

Musk tweeted that after opening it free to all content creators for the first 12 months, no fees would be charged to creators earning less than $100000 a year (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 718000 yuan).

For creators earning more than $100000 a year, X (Twitter) plans to charge a 10% commission.

Mr Musk wants Apple to charge a further 30 per cent of the 10 per cent commission on the App Store platform, rather than charging creators 30 per cent directly, thus boosting creators' earnings.
