CTOnews.com, August 2 (Xinhua)-- Ford Electric vehicle Center (Rouge Electric Vehicle Center,REVC) in Rouge, Michigan, USA, announced today that it will resume production and will continue to produce Fmai 150 Lightning pickup trucks after six weeks of shutdown and expansion.

Jim Farley, Ford's chief executive, tweeted that through renovation and expansion, the annual production capacity of the REVC plant this autumn could reach 150000 vehicles, triple the previous capacity.

Jim Farley said that he will meet the needs of consumers as soon as possible and deliver FMUE 150 Lightning pickup trucks to subscribers.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Ford announced in July that it would reduce the price of its popular FMY 150 Lightning electric pickup truck, with all models subject to varying degrees of adjustment.

Of these, the lowest-equipped Pro model dropped from $59974 to $49995, a drop of 16.6%. The highest-end Platinum model also fell 6.2 per cent from $98000 to $91995.
