According to data released last week by analytics firm SimilarWeb, Threads's Android App usage peaked on July 7, when the social platform had more than 49 million daily active users, but by July 23, it had only 12.6 million daily active users, or 12% of Twitter's.

Mark Zuckerberg also pointed out that the retention of Threads users is actually "better than the company expected," and he believes that as Threads App becomes more functional, user retention will improve.
