CTOnews.com, August 2 (Xinhua)-- PowerToys, Microsoft's official system enhancement tool for Win10 and Win11, recently released an update of version 0.72, mainly fixing the BUG feedback from users in previous versions and improving stability.

Version 0.72 of PowerToys does not introduce any new functionality, but adds a PowerToys Run plug-in called Value Generator, which generates hash and GUID values.

The new version of PowerToys 0.72 also enhances Mouse Highlighter to set four kinds of highlights to follow the cursor; the new version fixes the PowerRename function to reduce crashes when modifying a large number of files.

In addition to enhancing existing features, the new version of PowerToys 0.72 has managed to reduce installation space by hundreds of megabytes.

Compared with version 0.71, the installed application size of 64-bit version 0.72 has shrunk from 1.15GB to 785MB; in the file manager, the size of related folders has shrunk from 3.10GB to 554MB.
