In the first half of the year, the electricity consumption of the whole society totaled 4.3 trillion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 5 percent over the same period last year. China's renewable energy generating capacity is 1.34 trillion kilowatt hours, of which wind photovoltaic power generation is 729.1 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 23.5% over the same period last year.

According to reports, by the end of June 2023, the cumulative installed scale of new energy storage projects has exceeded 1733 kilowatts / 35.8 million kilowatt hours, with an average energy storage time of 2.1 hours. From January to June, the new installed capacity is about 8.63 million kilowatts / 17.72 million kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to the total installed capacity of previous years.
