CTOnews.com, August 2, with the renaming of the web, Android and iOS versions completed, Company X has now turned its attention to the TweetDeck service, which is now known as "XPro."

Founded in 2008, TweetDeck is headquartered in London and was later acquired by Twitter. Users can manage and monitor multiple Twitter accounts through TweetDeck, and can also track tweets that point to specific topics or events by adding keywords.

The move comes after "tweet" was renamed "post" last week, and the same iconic "RT" was renamed "repost" (retweet). The name of "TweetDeck" is obviously no longer appropriate, so the service is called "XPro" from today.

Now the login page (when not logged in) and the site name have been changed to "XPro", but the URL is still tweetdeck.twitter.com, similar to twitter.com (x.com/ profile will be redirected to twitter.com/ profile).

CTOnews.com notes that Company X hasn't updated all its copywriting yet, and the slogan still mentions the old name: "A powerful, real-time tool for people living on Twitter." There is a link to "Old XPro" at the bottom of the page, which can still be used and load the previous version of the preview version of TweetDeck. The new version of XPro also needs to add multi-user support, which is important for large accounts and brands.

The new name is not very palatable, and it feels uncomfortable that there is no space between "X" and "Pro". At the same time, XPro currently does not require a Blue subscription to use it, but once it is more functional, it is likely to charge a fee.
