The non-profit Anti-Digital hatred Center (CCDH) recently released a research report, saying that Musk, who advertised as an "advocate of freedom of speech", not only allowed hate speech to spread, but also did not take effective measures to curb it.

Tuyuan CCDHCCDH has been investigating content on the platform since Musk took the helm of Twitter, and the study reports that the amount of hate content on the platform has increased.

CTOnews.com quoted the report as saying that about 99 per cent of the hate speech sent by Mr Musk to "please" Twitter Blue subscribers was uncensored.

CCDH accused the billionaire of making "incendiary, indignant, false or misleading assertions" about their research. CCDH also pointed out that Musk contributed to the increase of hate content on Twitter by restoring users banned for hate speech.

Imran Ahmed, chief executive of CCDH, believes that these hate speech speakers can generate huge revenue for Twitter, including Andrew Tate, Gateway Pundit and Anthime Gionet, with just 10 accounts generating more than $19 million.

X (Twitter) responded to CCDH's allegations on July 20 by sending them a letter threatening to sue, claiming that the agency had discredited X. Alex Spiro, an X lawyer, explicitly targeted CCDH's claims in his letter, accusing the organization of "making a series of disturbing and baseless claims that appear to deliberately harm the interests of Twitter in general and its digital advertising business in particular" and threatening to sue.
