Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
On August 1, local time, Canadian technology company BlackBerry said Monday that Mobility in Harmony, an open source platform for electric vehicles led by Foxconn, will use BlackBerry software and some services.
It is reported that the MIH platform will use BlackBerry's QNX vehicle operating system and vehicle artificial intelligence platform IVY to help process and store data collected from vehicle sensors.
The MIH platform, led by Foxconn, includes a range of suppliers and automakers, such as India's Tata Motors and South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solutions. According to the official website of MIH, the purpose of this platform is to design a variety of electric vehicle platforms.
MIH plans to launch an electric vehicle platform called Project X for Asian consumers, which will first be launched in the Japanese market at the end of 2023. MIH is also expected to release six-and nine-seat electric vehicle platforms in the next few years. All of these platforms are expected to use BlackBerry software.
Many automakers, including Ford, General Motors and Toyota, have used BlackBerry's embedded QNX operating system on about 235 million vehicles.
