Today, OPPO's "smile proposal" roadshow in China was held in Shenzhen.

Focusing on the two major topics of "science and technology as a human being" and "green future", this year's "smile proposal" has collected 687 proposals for scientific and technological innovators and entrepreneurs in 66 countries and regions around the world, 1.3 times that of the previous one.

Of the 15 outstanding proposals selected for China's roadshow in 2023, 41% were on "green future" and 59% on "science and technology is human". Compared with the previous one, the current proposal team has a higher level of technical and commercial maturity. After being judged by a panel composed of technical experts, venture capital institutions, well-known science and technology enterprises and the media, and scored according to the four dimensions of "application landing", "scientific and technological innovation", "long-term development potential", "social public value" and 15 detailed rules, the TOP 5 proposal was finally selected to enter the OPPO "smile proposal" global final roadshow. At the same time, the event also selected two award-winning proposals: "Media Choice" and "good Innovation".

The topic of "Science and Technology is Human" of this year's "smile proposal" mainly solicit technologies, products and services related to smart health and science and technology accessibility, such as: health algorithms, hardware sensor innovation, new forms of health products, barrier-free auxiliary technology, aging technology and other innovative solutions.

In the direction of this topic, 10 proposals have been selected for China's roadshow, covering the areas of health, accessibility and aging design. Through the integration of innovative technology solutions and intelligent terminals, we can help visually impaired people to live and work more conveniently, so that the elderly can enjoy round-the-clock services, so that sleep and health can be guarded, so that family seekers are no longer alone.

"Green Future": using Science and Technology to practice Sustainable Development

The "Green Future" project is based on OPPO's own operation to achieve the goal of carbon neutralization in 2050, soliciting innovative technological solutions related to environmental protection and low-carbon development that can be applied to consumer electronic products, such as new energy, new materials, environmentally friendly packaging, green production technology, recycling of electronic products, low-carbon digital management and other innovative solutions, so as to reduce the environmental impact of the production or use of electronic products.

In the direction of this topic, five excellent proposals have been selected into the roadshow in China, including innovative products and solutions such as carbon emissions management, recycling, energy substitution, new materials and so on. The global climate problem is imminent, and the "smile proposal" platform can help OPPO work with external partners to contribute to the carbon neutralization process.

In October, the China Division TOP 5 proposal will participate in the smile proposal acceleration camp together with the TOP 5 proposal of the roadshow in Boston and Bangkok, Thailand, and have in-depth exchanges with OPPO executives, technology and investment teams, industry partners, and enter the global run-off roadshow. The final winner of the TOP 5 proposal will receive a 350000 yuan (pre-tax) bonus and the opportunity to engage in business and technical cooperation with OPPO and its partners.
