CTOnews.com July 31, CTOnews.com learned from Goyle official account that on July 29, the "2023VR&AR display Optical Technology Summit" was held in Qingdao, sponsored by Goyle Optical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Goyle Optics). At the meeting, Gale Optics released new VR Pancake modules and AR-HUD PGU modules to help carry products to achieve clearer and better display results.

At present, Pancake has become the main optical solution to realize the thinning of VR head display. Gore launched the brand-new VR Pancake display module StarC31, which uses 2-piece lens design and curved gluing technology. Officials said that compared with mainstream LCD Pancake modules, under the premise of ensuring 95 °FOV, PPD (pixel density) increased by 85%, PPD (definition) increased by 20%, stray light reduced by 25%, and adapted to 4K Micro-OLED screen. Make the display effect more clear and delicate. While another VR Pancake display module, StarCraft P31, is released at the same time, which uses a 3-piece lens scheme and mature plane film technology. The MTF is improved by 15% and can be adapted to a 4K Micro-OLED screen. The excellent display effects of the two products can meet the needs of video conferencing, business office, audio-visual entertainment and other application scenarios.

In addition, GE Optics also launched the PGU 4620 module upgrade version PGU 4620 Gen2 of the vehicle AR-HUD, which uses the latest DLPC technology to increase the brightness by 80% compared with the previous generation, reaching 200lm, refresh rate 120Hz, contrast as high as 1800 Gen2, and adding a multi-color temperature adjustable function to meet the display needs of users in different environments. In addition, the module adopts modular design, which can quickly adjust the development according to the demand, shorten the R & D cycle and accelerate the product launch.

GE Optical said that since its establishment in 2012, it has been committed to the research, development and production of optical display technologies such as VR&AR and micro-projection, achieving mass production of the world's first Pancake VR display module in 2019 and leading shipments for many years in a row.
