Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Xiao Zhan cut the clue delivery! CTOnews.com July 31 news, according to previous reports, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max frame will be much narrower than the previous generation of products, 9to5Mac previously obtained a number of different CAD drawings have been able to let us visually see these changes.

CTOnews.com notes that Bloomberg now provides more details about these changes and hints that this may also apply to the new iPad.

In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman said Apple will reduce the bezel size of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max from 2.2 mm to 1.5 mm.

Apple will use a technology called low pressure injection molding (LIPO) on the iPhone to achieve this goal, which has previously been used on the Apple Watch. Gurman said that after bringing LIPO technology to the iPhone, Apple also hopes to bring the feature to the iPad. The report explains:

This year, the two biggest changes to the 15 series will bring Apple closer to the iPhone of its dreams. The standard iPhone 15 model will feature a Smart Island screen, while the Pro and Pro Max displays will be made using new technology: low-pressure injection molding, or what Apple calls "LIPO" internally.

The new process reduces the border size around the display to 1.5 mm (the current iPhone border size is about 2.2 mm). The LIPO was first used on the Apple Watch Series 7, making the device's bezel narrower and increasing the size of the display. As far as I know, Apple eventually plans to bring this feature to the iPad as well.

Apple is reportedly working on a new iPad Pro, but may not yet be able to use LIPO technology. Still, Bloomberg's report suggests Apple is working to make the same visual overhaul of the iPad at some point in the future, dramatically reducing the bezel size.
