According to local media reports in Michigan, the Guoxuan battery plant originally planned to start in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has been approved for a one-year extension, and its overall completion time has been postponed by one year to 2031.

On July 30, Guoxuan Gaoke said that "this news is false," but also said it could not disclose more information about the project.

Last October, Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced that Gotion Inc, a U.S. subsidiary of Guoxuan High-Tech, would invest $2.4 billion (CTOnews.com note: currently about 17.184 billion yuan) to build battery materials plants in northern Michigan, including one plant that produces 150,000 tons of battery cathode materials per year and two plants that produce 50,000 tons of battery cathode materials per year.

CTOnews.com noted that on March 15, local time, the U.S. Congress authorized the allocation of 585 million U.S. dollars to support the construction of three multi-billion-dollar power battery plants in Michigan, including the cooperation project between Ford Motor and Ningde Times, as well as the project of the U.S. subsidiary of Chinese battery enterprise Guoxuan High-tech.

According to the latest data from SNE RESERCH, a global information agency, from January to May this year, Guoxuan High-tech ranked eighth in the global power battery loading volume of 5.3GWh, up 29.1% year-on-year.
