CTOnews.com July 30 news, Mazda MX-30 EV in California after a brief launch announced production. The car sold only 66 units in 2023, with sales in single digits in the first three months, reaching a mid-year high in May, but only 18 units, and 16 units in June.

In fact, this is not Mazda's first MX-30 EV launch in California, it sold a total of 505 new vehicles at the launch, missed Mazda's target of 560 vehicles, followed by production for about half a year, but was revived in January this year, and now it will be withdrawn from the market again.

Mazda currently has a plug-in hybrid called the MX-30 R-EV, but it's not available in the U.S. The official website shows that the R-EV has half the battery capacity of the pure electric version and can provide a range of 53 miles (CTOnews.com notes: about 85.3 kilometers).

The all-electric MX-30 has a 143-horsepower front-mounted motor that takes 8.7 seconds to reach 60 mph, a 30.0 kWh battery, a range of about 100 miles, and a starting price of $35485.
