CTOnews.com, July 29, according to netizen @ flobo09, the anti-phishing feature of Microsoft Edge browser was triggered after Twitter was renamed X, reminding users that the "official" app may be a fake.

The Edge browser alerts users: "if the web app is trying to trick you into thinking it's an official app, please uninstall it."

CTOnews.com also tried to reproduce the reminder, but did not encounter it so far after reinstalling the X app.

Musk is actively promoting the renaming of Twitter, and Android and iOS apps have been renamed X.
