CTOnews.com July 29 news, according to foreign media businesstimes reported that after the Securities and Exchange Commission approved its proposed business merger, the Vietnamese electric car maker VinFast plans to go public in the United States in August. It plans to build a plant in North Carolina aimed at making it more competitive with traditional carmakers and start-ups.

It is understood that VinFast announced in May this year that it would adopt a partnership with Black Spade Acquisition Co. Merge and go public. VinFast and Black Spade said in a joint statement that they planned to complete the merger by August, subject to shareholder approval and other customary closing conditions.

According to the joint statement, Black Spade will hold an extraordinary general meeting on August 10 to approve the proposed business merger with VinFast, with a potential equity value estimated at $23 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 164.68 billion yuan).

VinFast has exported about 3000 electric vehicles to the US for delivery from March and will build a $4 billion plant in the US.
