Galaxy S23 Ultra phone originally supports this function. After users enable it, after shooting a video or entering Pro Video mode, the video file will be stored in HEVC format. The image quality can be improved by increasing the bit rate.

In the field of digital multimedia, the bit rate is the number of bits that play continuous media such as compressed audio or video per unit time. In this sense, it is equivalent to the term digital bandwidth consumption, or throughput. The higher the bit rate, the larger the data transmitted, and the better the restored sound quality and picture quality will be.

After the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone was updated in July, this option was grayed out when shooting 8K videos.
