Microsoft says it has abandoned the traditional ActiveX approach, and users now need to import updates through PowerShell scripts.

Microsoft recommends that IT administrators update their devices regularly to help better protect devices within the organization. Users can find new PowerShell scripts on the WSUS and Microsoft Update Catalog pages. CTOnews.com learned from the announcement that the new version of the PowerShell script not only simplifies the process of importing updates, but also applies to importing multiple updates at the same time.
