CTOnews.com July 28 news, technology market independent analyst Canalys issued an official announcement, Informa Tech will wholly acquire Canalys, is expected to be completed in the third quarter.

The acquisition will enable Informa Tech to further expand its Omdia research capabilities into channels (distributors, value-added resellers, system integrators and managed service providers) and mobile (consumer and commercial devices), while also leveraging channel campaign franchises from Canalys and Informa Tech.

Founded in 1998, Canalys provides services across smart mobile devices, PCs, IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and smart cars. Currently, Canalys has subsidiaries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Informa Tech is a market insight and channel organization with more than 100 brands, more than 1000 industry experts, including more than 400 research analysts and consultants from global research group Omdia, and more than 125 million monthly audiences.
