CTOnews.com, July 27 (AP)-A former US Air Force intelligence officer testified to Congress on Wednesday that the US government had been hiding a long-term program to recover and reverse engineer unidentified flying objects (UFO). In this regard, the Pentagon denied his claim.

The retired major, David Grush (David Grusch), a subcommittee of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee of the U.S. Congress, held a hearing on the subject of unidentified flying objects (UFO) on July 26. Grush attended the hearing as a witness.

Grush used to work for the Air Force's unknown aerial phenomena (UAP) team. During this period, Grush said, he learned that the United States has a program to acquire and repair the crashed UFO, and that the program has been in existence for decades.

Grush said that based on interviews with 40 witnesses, he believed that the US government had not only UFO, but also the remains of UFO's "non-human" drivers, but he had not personally seen them.

In this regard, the Pentagon denied his claim. Us Defense Department spokesman Sue Gough said in a statement that investigators had not found "any verifiable information to confirm any claims that plans to own or reverse engineer extraterrestrial materials existed in the past or at present".

The other two witnesses present at the hearing that day, RyanGraves and DavidFravor, were both former U.S. Navy fighter pilots. They all said they had seen UFO during the flight and described the specific experience in detail. Grave said it was "not uncommon" for pilots and trained observers to see UFO.

CTOnews.com noted that at the hearing on the same day, a number of lawmakers called on the US government to be more transparent on UFO-related issues and let the public know the truth.
