The sports car will be named after Honda's electric EVR N series, based on the development of the "modular platform for electric vehicles" of the same name, and it is reported that the Type R version will also be launched. In addition, two photos of the outline of the sports car were released when Honda announced last year that it planned to launch 30 all-electric cars worldwide by 2030.

According to Honda's plan at the time, both sports cars would be electric. One was unveiled as a "special model" and the other as a "flagship sports car". Accordingly, the mysterious "special model" originally mentioned will officially surface by the end of this year.

▲ Honda, the same as the classic sports car S2000 mentioned above, made its debut in 1999, but it officially stopped production in 2009 due to market demand, environmental protection and many other factors.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Yamamoto Hiroshi, Honda's technical consultant, told Autocar magazine when he launched the new Honda e:Ny1 electric SUV in Norway, saying that Honda's famous Type R logo will continue to exist in the electric era, as long as electric cars provide enough fun to drive.

Type R is an attribute that maximizes the fun of driving and operation. If the electric car can convey this kind of fun, then the car can be called Type R.
