CTOnews.com, July 27 (Xinhua) Microsoft's Xbox division announced its fiscal year 2023 financial results, with cumulative revenue of $15.477 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 110.661 billion yuan), ranking second in the division's revenue history.

Interestingly, due to the weakness of first-party and third-party games, Microsoft's revenue in the fourth quarter (the second quarter of this year) did not meet Microsoft's expectations.

Xbox Game Pass's game time is up nearly 25% from last year, and the number of monthly active users is at an all-time high, but Microsoft, like before, does not report revenue and subscribers for its Game Pass business.

Xbox Game Pass has more than 25 million subscribers, CTOnews.com reported, citing tweaktown.

Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studio, confirmed that the company's first-party games have more than 150 million monthly active users on all devices, including statistics for games such as my World on Switch, Sony PlayStation and other platforms.

The latest results show that sales of Xbox consoles fell 13% year-on-year and 30% month-on-month in the quarter, which Microsoft said was mainly due to supply problems. Revenue from Xbox content and services grew 5 per cent year-on-year, while the overall revenue of the games business was $36 million, up 1 per cent from a year earlier.
