CTOnews.com July 26, Samsung also launched a series of Galaxy Watch6 smartwatches tonight, including the Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic. Among them, Watch6 Classic brings back the rotating frame, the most iconic function of Samsung watches. Both watches are available in two sizes and both come in a LTE version with a built-in eSIM module.

The Galaxy Watch6 has many improvements over the Watch5. Although the new watch does not have the function of rotating the frame, it does not lack other functions compared to the Classic version. The Galaxy Watch6 is slightly smaller than its predecessor, with sizes of 44mm and 40mm, respectively. However, as the frame narrowed, the screen became slightly larger, 1.5 inches and 1.3 inches, respectively. The screen size of the Watch6 Classic is the same, but the version with a rotating frame is 47mm and 43mm respectively.

The new Galaxy Watch6 watches are equipped with a Super AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 2000 nits, full-color AOD support and a sapphire crystal cover at the top of the screen. The new watch, equipped with the new Exynos W930 chipset, is still a dual-core CPU, but the highest frequency has increased by 18% to 1.4 GHz. Memory also increased by 33% to 2 GB, with internal storage of 16 GB.

The biggest improvement Samsung introduced into the Watch6 series is actually in software. Thanks to skin temperature sensors and heart rate monitors, the new watch can provide more in-depth sleep analysis. Samsung is also proud to announce that the new watch is the only watch that supports a complete health tracking suite-including electrocardiogram, heart rate and heart rate alerts, blood pressure, menstrual cycle prediction and fall detection.

The Watch6 series supports Samsung wallets and can be used as a remote camera shutter or to find the owner's phone through integrated maps. Thanks to the Samsung version of WearOS, the new watch supports Google and third-party apps.

The Watch6 and Watch6 Classic have a battery capacity of 425 mAh (the larger 44mm regular version or 47mm Classic version) and 300mAh (the smaller 40mm normal version and 43mm Classic version). Officials say the battery life can be up to 30 hours when the AoD is turned on and up to 40 hours when the AoD is turned off. The new watch also has IP68 certification, can be immersed up to 50 meters (5ATM) and complies with MIL-STD-810H standards.

The new watch runs the One UI 5 Watch system based on Wear OS 4, and after measuring total sleep time, sleep cycle, awake time, physical and mental recovery, the smartwatch will show users personalized tips and detailed feedback to improve sleep quality every morning.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series features accelerometers, barometers, body composition analysis, compass, ECG, GPS, gyroscopes, heart rate sensors, light sensors and temperature sensors. With the help of all these sensors, the watch can track the user's activity and exercise. Body composition analysis measures all aspects of the user's body, including BMI, basal metabolic rate, body fat percentage, body moisture, bone mass and so on.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 is available in graphite (both sizes), silver (44mm only) and gold (40mm only). It starts at £289 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2656 yuan) and a larger size watch that supports LTE costs £369 (currently about 3391 yuan).

The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic is available in black or silver, with the cheapest version priced at £369 (currently about 3391 yuan) and up to £459 (currently about 4218 yuan). Two new watches are on sale overseas today and will go on sale on August 11.
