It is reported on the official account of China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute of ▲ that the transport equipment is the core module of the world's first commercial modular small reactor "Linglong 1", known as "Linglong Heart". The equipment integrates pressure vessels, evaporators and main pump nozzles, and is the most difficult and representative "factory prefabricated, modular manufacturing" nuclear power main equipment.

This is the first commercial modular small nuclear power project in the world to realize the prefabricated welding of pressure vessels and steam generating components in the workshop, indicating that the construction of small nuclear power in China has stepped into the forefront of the world. It adopts modular construction method, which can realize standardized and batch production, which not only improves safety and reliability, but also reduces manufacturing cost.

After inquiry, CTOnews.com learned that the small pile of "Linglong 1" has a power generation capacity of 125000 kilowatts, and after completion, the annual power generation will reach 1 billion kilowatt-hours, meeting the needs of about 526000 families. Generating electricity per unit per year is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 880000 tons and planting 7.5 million trees. It can meet the energy demand of application scenarios such as cogeneration of heat and power, cogeneration of hydropower, desalination of seawater and provision of industrial steam.
