CTOnews.com July 26 news, automotive media cnevpost based on financial disclosure data, compared the number of employees of Weilai, Xiaopeng and ideal Automobile three companies. CTOnews.com quoted the media as saying that Xilai Automobile has the largest number of full-time employees at 26763, ideal Motor with 19396 employees and Xiaopeng with 15829 employees.

Broken down by department, by the end of 2022, the user experience department (responsible for sales, marketing and service) had the largest number of employees, reaching 11983, accounting for 44.8 per cent of the total.

The number of product and software development employees is 10025, accounting for 37.5% of the total employees; the manufacturing department has 2800 employees, accounting for 10.5%; and the regular administrative staff is 1955, accounting for 7.3%.

As of the end of last year, Xiaopeng had a total of 15829 employees, the fewest of the three companies. It is worth noting that Xiaopeng has more employees than ideal cars in 2020 and 2021.

Xiaopeng has almost the same number of employees in sales and marketing as well as research and development, with 6316 and 6313 employees respectively by the end of last year, accounting for 39.9 per cent of all employees.

Xiaopeng has 2647 manufacturing employees, accounting for 16.7 per cent of the total, while regular administrative employees have 87, accounting for only 0.5 per cent of the total.

Ideal car: as of the end of last year, ideal Automobile had 19396 employees, of which 9199 were sales and marketing employees, accounting for 47.4% of all employees.

The R & D staff of ideal car is the least among the three, at 4838, accounting for 24.9% of all employees.

The production department of ideal car has the largest number of employees of the three, with 4318 employees, accounting for 22.3% of the total, while the number of regular administrative staff is 1041, accounting for 5.4%.
