Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues about the past. CTOnews.com, July 26 (Xinhua) after nearly half a year of seesaw battle, Nissan announced today that a final agreement has been reached in a series of negotiations with French car giant Renault on the equalization of capital relations, and the mutual shareholding ratio between Nissan and Renault will remain equal. Nissan will contribute up to 600 million euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 4.734 billion yuan) for Ampere, a new electric vehicle company formed by Renault.
▲ Touyuan Pexels in addition, Renault will transfer its 28.4% stake in Nissan to the French financial trust this year, reducing its stake in Nissan to 15%, the same as Nissan's stake in Renault. Shares transferred to the trust will be sold in stages by Renault to companies such as Nissan.
Nissan will also send directors to Ampere to set restrictions on the handling of intellectual property rights such as electric vehicles and assisted driving technology. Nissan and Renault estimate that the new company has an enterprise value of 8 billion-10 billion euros (currently about 63.12 billion-78.9 billion yuan), and Nissan's contribution is expected to be less than 10%.
The two sides said that through the agreement, in addition to co-operation on electric vehicles and software development in Europe, cooperation systems will also be established in growing markets such as India and Central and South America, where there is a strong demand for fuel vehicles.
CTOnews.com previously reported that Nissan and Renault announced a framework agreement in February and planned to complete negotiations as early as March. Under the framework, Nissan will hold a 15 per cent stake in Ampere, Renault's new electric vehicle division, while Renault will reduce its current 43 per cent stake in the Nissan-Renault alliance. However, the negotiation time was extended because Nissan executives questioned the detailed terms of the deal because of intellectual property protection. Nissan hopes to put its decades-long partnership with Renault on a more equal footing.
