CTOnews.com July 26 news, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Jessica Rosenworth (Jessica Rosenworcel) plans to adjust the US broadband standard, downlink up to 100 Mbps, uplink up to 20 Mbps.

Rosenworth said FCC will re-evaluate the availability, speed and price of broadband to decide whether to take regulatory action to promote network deployment and competition.

In a proposed investigation notice, FCC plans to assess broadband deployment across the US and list affordability as one of the areas to be considered.

"in today's society, everyone needs an affordable high-speed network, covers all regions and connects everyone to the network," Rosenworcel said in the announcement.
