Synology NAS has several connection methods as follows:

Method 1: Know the IP address of the NAS port

If you know the IP address of the NAS network port (IP: 10.168.1.125), take DS918 + as an example

1. Connect the NAS network port directly to the laptop port with a network cable

2. Change the IP address of the notebook network port to the IP address of the same network segment as the NAS network port IP address.

Notebook operation: Control Panel---> Network and Internet ---> Network connection---> Corresponding network port right-click attribute

3. Test whether you can ping the NAS IP address

4. After ping, open the browser and enter the NAS IP address plus port number: 10.168.1.125:5000 (where the port 5000 is the system default port).

5. Enter the login interface of Synology NAS system and enter the account and password to log in to NAS system.
