CTOnews.com July 26 news, South Korea's SSD master developer FADU, although the current global market share is not more than 1%, but it is expected to reach 30% market share in 2026.
According to South Korean media Business Korea, FADU was founded in 2015 and is currently actively preparing for IPO.
"We are a technology leader among 30 to 40 SSD master design companies around the world, and we are confident that in the next two to three years, all data centers around the world will use our products," said Lee Chih-hsiao, CEO of the company, at an IPO presentation held at 63 Plaza Yoido in Seoul on July 24.
FADU is currently in the process of a public offering and plans to raise $1.18 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 8.425 billion yuan) by the end of August 7.
With its expertise in SSD controller design, FADU is actively building partnerships with a number of data center companies around the world that focus on high performance, low power consumption and miniaturization.
FADU management said that 50 million SSD masters are currently used in global data centers, and demand is likely to double in the next 2-3 years.
