CTOnews.com, July 26-Tesla is recalling some Model S, Model X and Model Y models, according to a recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It is said that the pitch angle of the front cameras of these affected models may not be aligned to the specifications, which may cause the active safety function to not be enabled.

To put it simply, Tesla adopts a pure vision scheme. If the camera is not aligned according to the standard, the auxiliary driving functions such as automatic braking, collision warning and lane maintenance will be affected, but the driver will not be able to detect whether these safety-related functions are available. It is reported that the recall includes Tesla Model S produced between January 24 and July 10, 2023, Model X produced between January 17 and July 20, 2023, and Model Y between April 27 and July 13, 2023.

Tesla is said to have confirmed 83 warranty claims and two on-site reports that may be related to the problems described in the recall, but has not seen any accidents, injuries or deaths that may be related to the problem.

In order to solve this problem, Tesla will check the front camera for the affected vehicles free of charge and adjust it to the standard range if necessary.

Tesla was identified as the most frequently recalled car brand in the United States, with Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y occupying four of the top five recalled models, according to a recent research report released by iSeeCars.
