Yasunori Ogura, creator of Armored Core VI Realm Skyfire, gave the answer in a recent interview with PCGamer, saying that during the development of Elden Ring, the peak development team was 200-230 people.

Considering the size and complexity of the game, this is actually quite surprising. The current gaming industry develops a large game, usually in thousands, sometimes tens of thousands.

According to MobyGames, Diablo 4 has 9166 developers.

Among them, 2464 people participated in game audio work, 902 people participated in art and graphics creation, 394 people participated in game programming, 193 people were responsible for game design, 397 people were responsible for QA, and 475 people entered the list of thanks.

Ogura stated that Panzer Core VI Realm Skyfire was more open than its predecessor and stated that the peak development team size was between 200 and 230 people.
