CTOnews.com, July 26 (Xinhua) according to the "electric-electric" hybrid shunting locomotive independently developed by China Railway Corporation and Dalian Corporation of China Railway Corporation, the "electric-electric" hybrid shunting locomotive was officially off the line on July 20, which is the first zero-emission, electric-electric hybrid shunting locomotive for large locomotives.

According to reports, this locomotive uses catenary and power battery energy, energy saving, environmental protection, zero emission, suitable for all shunting locomotives, no diesel engine noise, no pollutant emissions. As can be seen from the picture, it uses a green theme appearance to highlight its environmental protection characteristics.

Officials say the research team has improved the transmission efficiency of traditional internal combustion shunting locomotives by more than 10% compared with traditional internal combustion shunting locomotives by studying the optimal electric-electric hybrid energy ratio to overcome the key technologies of energy storage system in rail transit safety.

It is worth mentioning that it is also equipped with a power recovery system, which can convert kinetic energy into electricity feedback to the power grid or charge the power battery during power braking.

According to CRRC, it adopts ring network Ethernet communication, which has the characteristics of fast response and large data flow; adding a high-definition auxiliary lookout system to view pantograph status and road condition information in real time in the driver's room; and continuing the standardized, modular and simplified arrangement to reduce the workload of crew and maintenance personnel.
