According to CTOnews.com news on July 26, Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the passenger Association, recently released a report on China's imported car sales in 2023, which shows that China's imported car market is mainly composed of luxury cars, with the proportion of luxury cars rising from 78% in 2019 to 91.6% in 2023. The share of imports of ultra-luxury cars has remained stable, reflecting that the purchasing power of ultra-high-end consumers continues to rise.

CTOnews.com learned from the table that Lexus had the strongest performance of imported car brands in 2022 (87808), but fell to third place in 2023 (70505), and cumulative import sales fell 20 per cent in the first half of the year.
