Recently, the China Open Source Software Promotion Alliance (COPU) officially released the long-awaited "2023 China Open Source Development Blue Book" (hereinafter referred to as "Blue Book") at the (2023) 18th Open Source China Open Source World Summit Forum.

The Blue Book is an annual open source report led by the China Open Source Software Promotion Alliance (COPU), jointly compiled by CSDN, the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Open Atomic Open Source Foundation and other enterprises and institutions. This paper makes a detailed and comprehensive discussion on the current situation of open source development, developer ecology, open source project development, industry application status, open source community / organization / ecology and education / business status, open source contribution, etc., and analyzes the opportunities and challenges of open source development in China.

The Blue Book adds a new open source product library (global database product library, global large model product library, open source operating system product library, mainstream programming language library, blockchain product library), and regards the product library as a long-term open source project of China Open Source Blue Book, online operation and maintenance.

As a key part of the core basic software and IT industrial infrastructure, the database product library integrates the global mainstream open source products and commercial closed source products together, which is comprehensive, objective, analytical and referential. At present, the global database product library has become one of the database product libraries with the most complete information and the largest number of products in the world, including more than 600 database products, covering multi-dimensional characteristics, characteristics, basic architecture, core parameters, security indicators, ecological indicators and so on.

It is understood that the IvorySQL community is actively developing IvorySQL 3.0 based on the future PostgreSQL 16 brand-new architecture design, the new version uses a dual-port design, and will replace the previously used Oracle plug-in with a newly designed extension, which is expected to be officially released by the end of 2023.

In the development of domestic databases, products based on the open source route of PostgreSQL have become a major school. Among them, Henkel database has the longest development time.
