CTOnews.com July 26, Microsoft released a preview update of Win11 Dev Build 23506 on July 19, followed by an official blog post on the 21st of this month to further improve the virtual desktop experience.

When the user switches virtual desktops in the task view, a label is displayed.

Users can see a new sliding animation when they switch virtual desktops using touchpad gestures, touch gestures, keyboard combinations, and clicking buttons in the task view.

At present, some Windows Insider members of Dev channels have been invited to test, and will be open to all users of the channel later.

The list of virtual desktop keyboard combinations is as follows:

Win + Tab: opens the task view and displays the virtual desktop.

Win + Ctrl + D: create a new virtual desktop.

Win + Ctrl + left and right key: switch different virtual desktops.

Win + Ctrl + F4: close the current virtual desktop.
