CTOnews.com July 25, Microsoft Xbox console will enable players to map keyboard keys to handle buttons in the future. This feature has been added to the latest Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead versions of the operating system for testing and feedback by Xbox Insider planning users. It is expected that this feature will be available to all Xbox users in future system updates.

According to the latest Alpha version of the patch, this feature is currently available for Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 and Xbox Adaptive Controller handles, and players can customize the relationship between handle buttons and keyboard keys through the Xbox Accessories application.

Xbox points out that players can only map handle buttons to a single key, as well as any combination of auxiliary keys (Win, Shift, Ctrl, Alt). For example, in theory, players can map the share button to the S key on the keyboard, or the Ctrl+Alt+S key, but not to the Ctrl+Alt+S+A key.
