Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, July 25, according to the CCTV report on the evening of July 24, the current "shared screen" has become a new form of telecom network fraud, and lawbreakers will use this function to observe the contents of the victim's mobile phone screen in real time, and even steal key information such as account passwords.

According to the report, shared screen is a function of connecting multiple devices to the same screen, which is mostly used for remote meetings, file sharing and other aspects, bringing convenience to the public. However, this function will also give lawbreakers an opportunity.

Swindlers will pretend to be customer service, public security bureau, procuratorate, court and other identities to "eliminate online loan records" and "compensate for the loss of express delivery" and other reasons to entice victims to download shared screen software.

Then, through the sharing screen operation, the swindler guides the victim to enter his personal identity and account information in the specified App or platform, and obtain the SMS verification code for the transfer operation.

In this link, lawbreakers use shared screen software to observe the victim's process of registering an account in real time and steal key information such as account passwords.

The police warned in an interview that many people have recently encountered a shared screen scam, and users should be more vigilant. Customer service on the formal financial service platform will not use the shared screen to contact customers, and the shared screen function should be operated carefully. If there is no need to use this feature, you can completely turn it off in the phone settings.
