CTOnews.com news on July 25, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website announced on the 25th that the economic operation of the software industry in the first half of 2023 showed that in the first half of the year, China's software and information technology service industry was running steadily and better, the growth of software business income accelerated, the total profits maintained a relatively rapid growth, and the decline of software business exports narrowed.

Data show that in the first half of the year, the revenue of China's software and information technology service industry was 5.517 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.2% over the same period last year. In the first half of the year, the profits of the software industry totaled 617 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4 percent over the same period last year. In the first half of the year, software business exports totaled US $24.18 billion, down 2 per cent from the same period last year, of which exports of software outsourcing services increased by 8.2 per cent year-on-year.

CTOnews.com noted a slight increase in the share of revenue in major software provinces. In the first half of the year, among the top five provinces with software business revenue, Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai, the software income was 1.2259 trillion yuan, 973 billion yuan, 659.8 billion yuan, 567.5 billion yuan and 450.7 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 19%, 14.7%, 8.1%, 16.6% and 20.2% respectively. The total software business income of the five provinces (cities) was 38769 billion yuan, accounting for 70.3% of the country. Accounted for an increase of 0.9 percentage points over the same period last year.
