Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Brother Black fly's left hand clue delivery! CTOnews.com July 25, Figma is a web-based designer collaboration platform for design and brainstorming. It is very popular among technology companies including Zoom Video Communications, Airbnb and Coinbase.

Adobe's purchase of Figma for $20 billion will face a full antitrust investigation after a preliminary review by EU regulators, according to Reuters.

The move highlights the vigilance of antitrust regulators over the possibility of large companies acquiring rival start-ups and shutting down their technology deals, according to people familiar with the matter on Monday. The two companies had previously told regulators that they would not make promises to allay concerns.

A spokesman for Adobe said: "We continue to have fruitful conversations with regulators around the world. We are excited about the value that Adobe and Figma bring to our customers by making product designs more accessible and efficient."

It is worth mentioning that the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has previously announced that it is prepared to conduct an in-depth investigation into the transaction.

CMA said the merger could lead to a significant reduction in competition in the UK market. On June 30, CMA pointed out that Adobe's acquisition of Figma may reduce innovation and may lead to fewer choices for designers of applications, websites and other products.

The European Commission warned earlier this year that the deal posed a threat to competition in the interactive product design and whiteboard software market. The EU Competition Enforcement Agency plans to complete the preliminary review on August 7.
