CTOnews.com, July 25 (Xinhua)-- the next Falcon heavy rocket launch mission will take place on Wednesday (July 26, local time) at launch site 39A of the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in NASA, Florida, SpaceX announced.

The mission will be the seventh launch of the Falcon heavy rocket, which consists of three SpaceX first-stage boosters with upper stages and payloads at the top of the central booster, all of which are reusable. So far, Falcon heavy rockets have been successfully launched six times, including two in 2023.

SpaceX said that if all goes according to plan, the boosters on both sides will return to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff and land at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station next to KSC.

In other words, because the satellite is so heavy, the central thruster will not be recovered during this launch mission.

CTOnews.com found that the EchoStar Jupiter 3 communications satellite weighed 10.1 tons, the heaviest payload ever launched into geostationary orbit (35700 km).
