CTOnews.com, July 25 (Xinhua)-- Google is trying to eliminate third-party Cookie and has promoted Privacy Sandbox API in Chrome 115. the latest news is that Google is developing a new API to provide stronger tracking capabilities.

This new API is currently hosted on the GitHub platform, known as Web Environment Integrity API, and the new Web standard is similar to Digital Rights Management (DRM).

The API, developed by four Google engineers, has been prototyped in the Chrome browser, but has not been announced or hinted at a large-scale release.

In Google's vision, the API can be applied to various Google services such as Chrome and Google Search, and the API is a general type, not only for Android devices, but also for platforms such as Apple's iOS.

The data will help advertisers better count advertising impressions, stop social network robots, enforce intellectual property rights, prevent cheating in web games, and enhance the security of financial transactions, the introduction said.
