CTOnews.com quoted DSCC blog posts as saying that although several media outlets had pointed out that LG Display had delayed delivery on the iPhone 15 Pro screen due to technical problems on the narrow-framed screen that could not be mass produced, the latest information we have learned from the supply chain shows that LG Display has so far solved these problems.

Bank of America Global Research (BofA Global Research) analyst Mohan recently released a research report that Apple will postpone the launch of the iPhone 15 series until the fourth quarter.

The Information, a foreign technology media on ▲ 's official website, does not agree with this view, saying that Apple will release the iPhone 15 series in September as scheduled, but the initial supply of the Pro model is tight due to the mass production of the LG Display.

According to the Electronic Times, according to Apple's supply chain, the stock of iPhone 15 components in 2023 is not as strong as that in the same period in 2022, with a slight estimate that the initial stock is only about 83 million to 85 million units, down more than 8% from the same period last year.

Samsung monitors and LG monitors are working hard to achieve frameless OLED in order to comply with Apple's requirements, and they need to improve thin-film packaging (TFE) and off-screen camera (UPC) technologies and ensure antenna space, the report said. It is still a technology that takes a long time to develop before it can be used in large-scale production.

It is worth mentioning that Apple wants to achieve a frameless display while maintaining the flat screen of the iPhone and the angular design on the side of the product, so they refuse to use curved screen technology.

Another reason is that curved screen technology will produce a "magnifying glass effect" in some optical applications, which Apple taboos. In addition to the optical distortion effect, the curved screen may be less resistant to falling, which Apple does not want to see.
