Google stressed that before performing the deletion, Google will send an email notification to the user's Google account, as well as a notification to its auxiliary mailbox, if any.

CTOnews.com learned from Google's website that there are some exceptions to this policy. Google said that if one or more of the following conditions are met, users' Google accounts will not be considered idle even if they have not been used for two consecutive years:

Your Google account is used to purchase a current or long-term Google product, application, service or subscription.

There is a gift card with currency balance in your Google account.

You have a published app or game under your Google account, and the app or game is associated with a long-term subscription or financial transaction. For example, there is an app on the Google Play store under the Google account.

Your Google account manages active minor accounts through Family Link.

Your Google account is used to purchase digital goods, such as books or movies.
