According to reports, the new car, which will be produced in Mlad á Boleslav in Slovakia, is scheduled to be released in November and will continue to be available in both the hatchback and travel versions.

It is worth mentioning that as the European Union plans to stop selling fuel cars in 2035, this will be the last generation of Skoda Speedway models with fuel engines.

Officials say the 2024 Skoda Speedway uses a new style rather than the Modern Solid design language.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the hatchback is 4912/1849/1481mm, the length, width and height of the travel car is 4902/1849/1482mm, and the wheelbase is 2841mm, which is longer and narrower than the previous generation. CTOnews.com notes that its hatchback has a trunk capacity of 645 liters, compared with 690 liters for the travel version, exactly the same as the new Passat developed by Skoda.

With 28 Simply Clever functions, the utility is further enhanced, including the electronically controlled suitcase cover of the station wagon, the tablet bracket in the central armrest of the rear seats, the integrated funnel in the water tank cover of the windshield cleaner, and mass storage solutions.

In addition, it will be equipped with a larger 12.9-inch infotainment system, digital dashboard and display. It will also use a shielding design and will provide 360 °panoramic images, electric sunshades, rear tables, 10 airbags and the latest driving aids. Of course, the umbrellas that come with the car will still be set in the main driving door.

It is worth mentioning that Skoda designers chose a combination of touch and physical manipulation, which will have a good experience for most users. In addition, moving the shift lever on the steering column makes the center console look cleaner, while the safety equipment has been improved, with more ADAS (including turn assist system and intersection assist system) and up to 10 airbags.

In terms of power, the new car will provide gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrid models, of which the gasoline version will be equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 150 horsepower; the 2.0T engine front version will have a maximum power of 204 horsepower, and the four-wheel drive version will have a maximum power of 265 horsepower; the transmission system will match the seven-speed double clutch transmission. The plug-in hybrid model is composed of 1.5T engine and motor. The system has a comprehensive power of 204hp and a battery capacity of 25.7kWh. It can provide pure electric life of 100km and support 50kW fast charging.
