CTOnews.com July 23 news, Eichong launched two wireless charging chips CPS8200 and CPS4041, the former is the transmitter chip, the latter is the receiver chip, both support Qi2 wireless charging protocol.

Qi2 wireless charging protocol is the latest wireless charging standard of WPC. Compared with the current Qi standard, Qi2 uses magnetic power distribution technology, which claims to ensure a perfect match between the device and the charger, thus improving energy efficiency. Qi2 will support the industry to develop faster wireless charging technology while ensuring that the charging process is always safe without shortening battery life or damaging the receiver.

The CPS8200 wireless charging chip integrates 32-bit processors, supports QC2.03/3.0, PD3.1, SCP, AFC fast charging, and supports step-up or step-down conversion. The chip supports the latest Qi2 wireless charging protocol.

The CPS4041 wireless charging chip supports 60W wireless receiving power and 20W wireless transmitting power, which is suitable for mobile phones and portable devices. The chip also supports the latest Qi2 wireless charging protocol.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that Apple's latest iPhone 15 series phones will also be compatible with the Qi2 wireless charging protocol, which can provide up to 15W wireless charging power for iPhone 15 series phones by purchasing a charging perimeter compatible with the Qi2 wireless charging protocol. The two chips reported in this report can also be used for charging peripheral accessories, compatible with Qi2 fast charging of iPhone 15 phones.
