Quest Pro is a $1000 hybrid reality headset from Meta (CTOnews.com Note: about RMB 7180 currently), which is mainly aimed at professionals and provides a high-performance and high-resolution virtual reality experience. The product, which went on sale in October 2022, initially sold for $1500, but was reduced by $500 a few months later. At the same time, the Quest 2, a virtual reality headset for the average consumer, has experienced a number of price changes, ranging from $300 to $400.

According to The Information, Meta has stopped ordering new Quest Pro parts from suppliers and suspended the development of the entire "Pro" series, which means the company is unlikely to launch a second-generation Quest Pro Touch Show. However, Bosworth refuted this claim in yesterday's Instagram Stories post, saying that his team is developing multiple prototypes in parallel for all its projects and is not sure which one will be the final product. He suggested that The Information's message came from an employee who was unhappy that his project had been cut.

"I explain this every year," Bosworth said. There is no Quest Pro 2 until we decide to have it. I mean, there are a lot of prototypes-- a lot of them-- in parallel development. Still, Quest Pro didn't go well from the start. The product has never clearly defined its own meaning of existence, and the company has vaguely positioned it as a workstation for professionals.
