CTOnews.com previously reported that Volvo officials said in May that Volvo EX90 had adjusted its mass production time because it still needed time to develop and test the vehicle software. Mass production of the model, originally scheduled for the first half of this year, has been postponed to the first half of 2024.

Volvo engineers will have more time to finish the job after another delay due to software problems, but the launch of EX90 may be delayed until the third quarter of next year.

Last November, Volvo unveiled a new generation of all-electric models, a full-size seven-seat SUV-- Volvo EX90, which is expected to start at less than $80000 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 574000 yuan) and will be produced in Chinese and US factories. This model adopts the latest design concept in appearance, based on the new SPA2 platform, which is about 5036mm in length, 2985mm in wheelbase, 0.29 in wind resistance, and equipped with the latest PilotAssist driving assistance and intelligent cockpit.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a dual-motor drive system with a combined maximum power of 370kW, about 503hp, a peak torque of 910Nm, a 400V 111kWh battery and a range of 650km. It is said that the car will also introduce a two-way charging function in the future, which can not only power appliances, but also can even feed the power grid.
