Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, July 21 (Xinhua)-- We all know that the mileage of electric cars will decline in cold weather, and Seattle-based Recurrent recently released a research report, pointing out that overheating can also significantly reduce the mileage of electric vehicles.
Recurrent studies and tests thousands of cars every year to analyze the relationship between batteries and their mileage.
Recurrent did not mention specific models in the report, but he said:
At 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26.6 degrees Celsius), the average mileage decreased by 2.8%.
At 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32.2 degrees Celsius), the average mileage decreased by 5%.
After the temperature rose to 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius), the average mileage dropped by 31%.
Greg Less of the University of Michigan's battery lab says that when electric vehicles are at temperatures above 104F, they break through the passive emission layer (passive emission layer) on the anode of the battery, consuming electrolyte and reducing mileage.
