CTOnews.com, July 21, according to relevant data compiled by cnevpost, China has the largest number of exchange power stations owned by Lai Automobile, Audi New Energy and Bertan Technology, of which Weilai is aimed at ordinary consumers, while the latter two are mainly for the taxi market.

At the end of June, Xilai had 1543 switching stations in China, accounting for 68 per cent of the total, according to the China Electric vehicle charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (EVCIPA), an industry group.

Audi New Energy and Bertan Technology have 615 and 108 battery exchange stations respectively, with a share of 27% and 5%, respectively.

It is worth noting that data from EVCIPA battery replacement stations do not include data from power stations that provide battery replacement services for heavy trucks.

Citing cnevpost monitoring data, CTOnews.com said that as of July 21, Xilai had 1566 battery exchange stations in China, of which 429 were located along highways.

Feifan said on July 17 that it plans to add more than 50 battery replacement stations by the end of this year, but there are currently only three in Shanghai.

Chinese auto giant Geely said in September that it expects its battery exchange operation E-Energee to operate 5000 battery exchange stations around the world by 2025.

In terms of the number of power stations in different regions, Beijing, Guangdong and Zhejiang had the largest number of power stations, with 296, 281 and 271 respectively by the end of June, while Jiangsu, Shanghai and Jilin ranked fourth to sixth with 224,152 and 124 respectively.
